A useful quote starts with the shots

There is no reliable universal percentage saving for AI-led VFX. The work required depends on the creative target and the source material. A sequence with exact continuity or complex movement can need a different approach from a short visual experiment.

Prepare a shot list with the duration of each shot, the effect required and the intended output format. Share an edit or reference sequence where possible. That context helps a studio understand what the effect must do in the story and how precisely it needs to match surrounding footage.

The factors that change scope

Visual specificity and continuity

An exact character, branded product or recognisable location creates different constraints from an open-ended visual concept. Identify elements that must remain unchanged and provide approved references. Consistency across shots should be part of the review criteria.

Source material and finishing

Existing footage, reference quality and delivery requirements influence the work needed. A generated take may need further refinement before it fits the edit. Ask which finishing tasks are included, which are excluded and who is responsible for each handoff.

Approvals and revisions

Agree the number and purpose of review stages. Distinguish adjustments within an approved direction from changes to the brief. A new environment, revised character or different action can alter the scope after work has begun.

Compare quotes on the same basis

Check whether each proposal covers the same shots, duration, formats, review rounds and finishing work. Clarify what happens if a planned approach does not meet the approved target. A headline price alone cannot tell you whether two production offers are equivalent.

What to send Vinc

Send your shot list, current edit or source footage, visual references, delivery specifications and deadline. Tell us about the budget range and existing collaborators. We can then discuss the work with you and scope a production approach. No cost reduction or turnaround is guaranteed before the material and requirements are assessed.
